About backlit bathroom mirrors.
What is a backlit bathroom mirror?
A bathroom mirror with LEDs installed behind the mirror surface that cast light onto the wall around it. Some are properly backlit (the LED sits behind a routed channel and projects a halo on the wall, like the Radiance line and EMIRA). Some are edge-lit (the LED runs along the perimeter under a frosted edge, like the Terra line). Both read as light coming from behind the mirror rather than in front of the face.
Backlit versus edge-lit. What is the difference?
Backlit places the LED behind the mirror substrate; the light projects onto the wall as a halo around the silhouette. Edge-lit places the LED along the perimeter under a frosted band; the light reads along the edge of the mirror itself. Backlit is ambient and architectural. Edge-lit is sculptural and defines the form. Most search queries treat the two terms interchangeably.
Backlit or front-lit?
Choose backlit when the room wants ambient light and the mirror reads as architecture (Radiance for the bath; EMIRA for the foyer; Pulse Decor for the dressing wall). Choose front-lit when the bath is grooming-led and the face needs direct task light (the Concept Studio Solenne/Norma/Beno range).
What light temperatures are available?
Three temperatures across most variants: 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral), 5000K (cool daylight). Tri-Temp configurations on PULSE and STONE let you switch between all three. EMIRA is offered at 4000K.
What sizes are available?
Standard catalogue sizes from 24 by 32 inches (DIMO, MORENO) up to 78 inches wide (BOCA, the Radiance flagship). EMIRA reads as a free-flowing organic silhouette. Custom dimensions on any piece through Concept Studio.
Where are they made, and what is the warranty?
Crafted in Europe on Belgian Diamond ClearVision low-iron glass with AGC Mirox 3G copper-free silvering. Every piece is Certified to North American Standards and carries a five-year warranty.
