A vanity mirror has one job: to return your reflection with absolute clarity in the light you actually use. Every Claris piece is cut from low-iron Belgian glass, so there is no green cast and colour, skin tone, and finish read true. Choose LED, framed, or a size cut to your vanity.
Getting the size right.
Most vanity mirror problems are proportion problems. A mirror that runs the full width of the counter crowds the wall; one that is too small leaves the vanity looking unfinished. The rules on the right are where we start, and they hold for almost every bathroom.
The rest is light. A backlit piece throws an even wash and doubles as ambient lighting. A front-lit piece puts colour-true light on the face, which is what the dressing routine actually needs. Several pieces do both.

- Sit the mirror a little narrower than the vanity, roughly 60 to 80 percent of the counter width.
- Height
- Centre the glass at eye level, with the base clear of the tap and backsplash.
- Double vanities
- One wide mirror reads calmer; a matched pair gives each basin its own light.

- Backlit for an even wash around the room, front-lit for colour-true light at the face.
- Non-standard walls
- If a catalogue size does not fit, the piece is cut to specification.

What size mirror should I use for my vanity?
As a rule, the mirror sits a little narrower than the vanity below it, roughly 60 to 80 percent of the counter width, and centres at eye level. A 24-inch vanity takes a mirror around 20 to 22 inches wide; a 36-inch vanity takes roughly 30 to 32; a 48-inch vanity takes roughly 40 to 44. One wide mirror or two for a double vanity?
Both work. A single wide mirror reads calmer and makes the wall feel larger, which suits a continuous counter. A matched pair gives each basin its own light and its own reflection, which suits two people using the room at once. How high should a vanity mirror hang?
Centre the glass at the eye level of the people using it, and keep the bottom edge clear of the tap and backsplash, usually 100 to 150 mm above the counter. On a wall-mounted tap, check the spout arc before you set the height.
Do I need an LED mirror, or is a framed mirror enough?
If the room already has good task lighting at the face, a framed or plain mirror is enough, and the frame becomes the design element. If the mirror is the light source, choose an LED piece. Our guide to backlit versus front-lit mirrors covers which suits which room.
Is anti-fog available?
Yes, across the range. Anti-fog is a heated film behind the mirror that keeps the surface clear while the shower runs, so there is no wiping. It is standard on selected pieces and can be specified on most others. More detail in the anti-fog mirror guide.
Can I get a size that is not in the catalogue?
Yes. Custom Studio cuts pieces to the wall: dimensions, frame finish, lighting configuration, sensor package, anti-fog, and glass are all specified per brief. Send the drawings or the rough dimensions and our trade team replies within two business days with pricing.

Belgian low-iron Diamond ClearVision glass on every piece, with AGC Mirox 3G copper-free silvering. Low-iron content removes the green cast common to standard float glass, so colour and skin tone read true. Every piece is crafted in Europe and carries a five-year warranty.
