The Glass
Claris Company · On our glass
Why the reflection tells the truth.
Every mirror we make starts with the same material decision: ultra-clear, low-iron Belgian glass. This page is the short version of why that matters, and what it looks like in a room.
On clarity
The glass has to tell the truth.
A mirror should show the room as it is. Most glass does not. Standard mirror glass carries a faint green cast that shifts skin tones, flattens colour, and quietly changes the light of a room.
We use Diamond ClearVision in every mirror we make, a low-iron Belgian glass with that cast removed. Colour returns as it should. Whites stay white, skin stays warm, and the reflection comes back clean, neutral, and complete.
In a large mirror, the effect is hard to miss. The surface recedes, the reflection opens up, and what you see is simply you, and the room exactly as it is.
Skin stays warm.
The material
A cleaner mirror, made to last.
Clarity is only half of it. The mirror in every Claris piece is AGC Mirox 3G, a Belgian mirror made without copper and with almost no solvent emissions, and certified Cradle to Cradle Silver.
It is built to last. AGC engineered Mirox 3G to resist corrosion up to ten times longer than a standard mirror and to scratch far less, so the surface stays true for years rather than clouding at the edges.
A cleaner glass that also endures. The most sustainable mirror, after all, is the one you never have to replace.
- Copper-free
- Near-zero VOC
- Cradle to Cradle Silver
Corrosion and scratch performance and the Cradle to Cradle Silver certification are AGC Glass Europe's published specifications for Mirox 3G.
See it in person
Seen in person, the difference is immediate.
The same clear, low-iron Belgian mirror goes into everything we make: made responsibly, built to last, backed by a five-year warranty, and true from across a room or up close. Which is the whole point of a mirror.
