The meeting
When Claris met Benoît Gérard in 2025, at Cosentino's C·NEXT event, the ambition was singular: take mirror and architectural glass past their usual role and make them into art for the home. A year-long collaboration followed. Benoît already knew Cosentino's materials intimately, so the direction came quickly. Glass and mirror, paired with stone, designed to be seen as one object rather than a fixture hung on a wall.
Twins, and the seed of Gemini
The dialogue continued at Cosentino City Toronto, where Benoît created a vignette that did more than fill the space. It showed what mirror and stone could become together. That installation introduced TWINS, the piece that carries the collection's argument in one line: the wall decides nothing, the designer decides everything. The design language born there grew into the Gemini Collection.
Then came ÉCLOS
Gemini had a clear voice from the start, but it was missing one piece: a standalone mirror that needed no wall, complete on its own. The answer arrived alongside the launch of Cosentino ÉCLOS at C·NEXT in 2026. The inspiration was there, the idea took shape, and the collection was finally whole. Alice was born.
Benoît, in Cosentino's words on the project: "The idea was never simply to create another mirror. It was to create an object where every material contributes equally to the overall composition."
Alice, and Alice Mini
ALICE stands as a floor sculpture: two glass panels, frosted on one face and gloss on the other, in eight-millimetre two-layer Belgian glass. Twenty-two by seventy-two inches, offered in Bronze or Graphite. It returns light differently from every angle, light to the eye yet grounded by the weight of its base.
ALICE MINI brings the same philosophy to tabletop scale: a tinted arched glass panel rising from a stone base, a round mirror set into the upper face, eleven by eighteen inches, built for a console, dresser, or shelf.
Alice and Alice Mini are grounded on Cosentino ÉCLOS bases. Two warm-toned inlaid mineral surfaces, Phantome and Ivora, anchor the collection's most considered pieces. The Cosentino base introduces a material counterweight to the glass: warm, inlaid, mineral.
What a partnership looks like
Alice is the product of a real partnership: Claris glass and Benoît's eye, grounded in Cosentino material. We believe it is the start of something larger. A mirror is design, not decoration, and Alice is the clearest statement of that idea the house has made.
