A front-lit mirror puts the LED in front of the face. Where a backlit mirror casts its glow onto the wall behind the glass, a front-lit mirror sends light forward, directly onto the person standing at the vanity. That single difference decides which one belongs in your bath.

When front-lit is the right call

Choose front-lit when the bath is grooming-led. Shaving, skincare, and makeup all want even, direct light on the face with no shadows under the brow or chin. Backlit pieces are ambient and architectural; front-lit pieces are functional first. Most baths that serve a daily routine are better served by light on the face, with the room's ambience handled elsewhere. For the full decision logic across every lighting type, see the designer's guide to bathroom mirror lighting.

Five ways to place the light

The Claris front-lit range runs through Concept Studio, and each piece answers the same question differently: where should the light sit?

SOLENNE: the capsule

Solenne pairs an elegant capsule form with front-facing LED light, putting clarity exactly where the routine happens. Frameless, calm, and exact.

NORMA: balanced both sides

NORMA carries clean, symmetrical lighting on both sides of the glass for balanced front illumination. Two vertical bands of light meet in the middle of the face, which is the classic setup for even task light.

BENO: off-centre on purpose

BENO runs its lighting along the top and one side. The off-centre design stands out without overwhelming the space, and it pairs cleanly as a set above a double vanity.

LUGO: the vertical line

LUGO is a clean vertical lighting design with bright, even front light. Minimal and straightforward, drawn for single or paired installs.

NANO: one full-height edge

NANO places full-height vertical lighting along one edge, offering powerful, focused front illumination with an asymmetrical, contemporary layout.

Specifying front-lit

Every piece in the range is built to order on Belgian low-iron glass, quoted on request, with custom dimensions, finishes, and lighting available through Concept Studio. Browse the range in the Front-Lit Mirrors collection, or read the trade buyer's guide to specifying a custom mirror before sending a brief through the trade desk.
